Job description:

If you are a compassionate and supportive person with experience in caring for seniors or adults, Right at Home is actively seeking caregivers to provide essential services to clients in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Caregivers play a crucial role in assisting clients with activities of daily living, helping them maintain independence and avoid high-risk nursing facilities.

We are looking for dedicated caregivers who are available for two or more shifts per week, with a preference for those who are willing to work overnight shifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Companionship: Engage clients through conversation, activities, light housekeeping, running errands, and transportation to appointments. Assist with medication reminders.
  • Personal Care: Provide essential personal care assistance, which may include meal preparation, bathing, feeding, toileting, transferring, encouraging exercise, and grooming.
  • Charting and Reporting: Communicate any concerns or changes in client conditions promptly to office and care team members, ensuring clients’ health and quality of life are maintained while providing reassurance to their loved ones.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience caring for seniors or adults
  • A warm and compassionate demeanor towards those in your care
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to perform assigned tasks competently
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, BMV check, TB test, and drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certification is not required; however, we offer competitive pay for licensed CNAs, HHAs, and DSPs.
