Lapeer-based plastic injection molding company, specializing in components, emblems, ornamentations, decorative trims, and various other plastic components, is seeking Experienced Die Setters to join our team. We offer all shifts, with competitive compensation ranging from $18 to $22 per hour based on experience. Candidates must have a solid and proven background in die setting. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute scheduled mold changes promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct housekeeping duties as necessary, adhering to “6S” standards.
- Provide relief for operators during breaks when required.
- Arrange the work area with necessary utilities.
- Carry out light-duty mold repairs upon request, including water and vacuum line maintenance.
- Complete all check sheets, repair forms, and necessary documentation.
- Perform last shots when pulling molds.
- Implement process improvements as necessary.
- Report any safety and machine-related issues through the appropriate channels.
- Ensure compliance with all LP&P and MIOSHA safety regulations.
- Contribute to quality and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Experience:
- Hi-Lo Certification and Licensing
- Overhead Crane Certification and Licensing
- Lock Out/Tag Out Training
- Successful completion of Die Setter Training
- Comprehensive knowledge of machines and processes
