Job description:

Immediately seeking a dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver in Columbus, OH. We invite the right individual to drive with Ryder.

At Ryder, drivers on this account earn a minimum of $1,700 weekly, with additional benefits:

  • Weekly Compensation: Paid every week with a guaranteed minimum pay of $1,700.
  • Hourly Rate: $34.00 per hour.
  • Work Hours: 40 or more hours per week.
  • Per Diem: $35.00 per night for overnight assignments.
  • Overnight Accommodations: Ryder will arrange hotel bookings for overnight routes.
  • Tenure Bonus: $300 awarded each quarter, totaling $1,200 annually.
  • Sign-On Bonus: $1,500 payable at 30 days and another $1,500 at 90 days.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age of 21.
  • Successful completion of a Ryder drug test.
  • Passing of a background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last three years.
  • Passing of a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.
  • Valid CDL and necessary endorsements.
  • Verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
    • 9 months within the past 3 years, OR
    • 2 years within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years within the last 10 years.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to follow written and oral instructions, as well as read, interpret, and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency standards.
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards while maintaining accurate records and logs.
  • Load and unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
