Purpose of the Role:
Dayton Vitality Hotel seeks a courteous, friendly, and helpful Maintenance Technician to join our team! This fully on-site position will report directly to the Chief Engineer and will be responsible for the maintenance of the building, grounds, and overall physical location with a particular focus on safety, security, and asset protection. The technician will also participate in the emergency response team for all facility-related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee schedules for preventive maintenance activities.
- Assist in establishing and implementing Life Safety and other emergency-related procedures and training for staff, executing emergency procedures in alignment with hotel standards.
- Ensure compliance with required safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Confirm that all work is performed safely and efficiently, meeting quality standards.
- Conduct periodic walk-through and visual inspections of all property assets to assess condition, prioritize maintenance tasks, and identify areas for improvement.
- Compile lists of future projects and priorities to submit for leadership review and approval.
- Maintain open communication with all departments to ensure a responsive approach to operational needs.
- Uphold cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work areas.
- Adhere to hotel standards, policies, and regulations, including safety and recycling protocols, while staying updated on hotel information and changes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities, and Experience:
