We are seeking a Full-Time Experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join Crossroads Veterinary Clinic, located at 15275 M-60, Three Rivers, MI 49093. What You’ll Do
As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, your contributions will be integral to our patient care, client communication, and overall support for our veterinarians and assistants. We seek individuals who are confident and proficient in the following areas:
- Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
- Administering vaccines and medications
- Patient surgical monitoring and anesthesia
- Drug calculations
- Dental prophylaxis
- General technical duties inherent to the role
Schedule and Compensation
- Hours: 32–34 hours/week
- Monday–Friday: 8:30 am–5:00 pm
- Every other Saturday, with a half-day off during the week
- Extended shifts (7:30 am–6:00 pm) on Mondays and Wednesdays
- Salary: $22 – $25/hour, commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:
As a Veterinary Technician, your primary duties will include:
- In-patient medical care, including administering medications, performing treatments, diagnostics, and monitoring.
- Assisting with anesthesia and surgical preparations, maintenance, and recovery.
- Performing dental procedures and assisting the Veterinarian with dental surgeries.
- Positioning patients for radiography and sending images electronically.
- Laboratory duties, collecting and preparing samples for testing and recording results.
- Preparing client communications regarding invoices and discharge instructions.
- Educating clients on at-home care procedures.
- Assisting with reception duties as needed.
- Mentoring new team members and helping maintain inventory control.
- Preparing medications and prescriptions.
Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing skills.
- Composure in stressful situations and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Competence in administering SQ, IM, and IV injections.
- Familiarity with common medications, including dosages and side effects.
- Understanding of anesthesia protocols and recovery monitoring.
- Strong reasoning and communication skills in English.
- Comfort and confidence around pets.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid state licensing as required.
- A minimum of 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift/carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Endurance for prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Capability to work in noisy environments with various animal sounds.
- Exposure to pets and potential hazards such as anesthesia and medication.
- Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity for tasks involving equipment and communication.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel for vendor visits and educational opportunities may be necessary.
