Job description:
We are actively seeking a talented System Analyst 6 to deliver technical support for Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) packages within the Management and Budget division of the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB). This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities including system administrator tasks such as the installation and configuration of application components, ensuring application and infrastructure security, and collaborating with vendors, clients, and other technical teams to effectively implement projects and execute changes.
Key Responsibilities:

System Administration: Install and configure systems and application components in both Windows and Linux environments, ensuring secure and optimal configurations for COTS applications.

Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Collect and document both business and technical requirements, analyze potential options, and offer solutions for ongoing application modifications and new initiatives.

Collaboration & Support: Work in partnership with vendors, clients, and technical teams to understand and fulfill project requirements while addressing system needs efficiently.

Security Compliance: Ensure all systems and applications comply with Federal, State, and industry security standards, implementing vulnerability remediation and following best practices.

Application & Server Support: Maintain and configure changes for SaaS products, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and provide ongoing support for COTS applications.

Tool Utilization: Employ and support tools such as Dynatrace (or similar debugging tools), PowerShell, Azure DevOps, and Visio for monitoring, debugging, and system management.

Networking & Architecture: Apply knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN), manage firewalls, and assist in creating architecture diagrams to ensure a secure and efficient infrastructure.
- Vulnerability Remediation: Identify and address vulnerabilities in systems and applications, maintaining secure and compliant infrastructures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Professional Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in system administration, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows and Linux environments.

Technical Proficiency:
- Windows Server Administration (2016 and later), RHEL 7.0+, Cloud Infrastructure (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Proficient in tools such as Tomcat, IIS, MS SQL Management Studio, Dynatrace (or similar), PowerShell, Azure DevOps, and Visio.
- Strong understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID), networking (LAN/WAN), firewalls, and IoT.

Analytical Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities with the ability to remediate vulnerabilities, analyze system logs, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Experience with SaaS and COTS: Familiarity with managing and maintaining SaaS products and COTS applications is essential.
