Job description:
NBCUniversal’s Advertising Platforms & Operations team is responsible for the product development, project management, and daily operations of NBCUniversal’s comprehensive advertising technology suite. This division supports both internal and external clients in alignment with NBCUniversal’s $8 billion annual advertising business.
The Programmatic Ad Operations team, situated within Business Operations & Services, is a dynamic and closely-knit group that executes all programmatic guaranteed and private marketplace deals on both domestic and global scales. We are currently looking for a Programmatic Manager to enhance our indirect demand sales team.
The ideal candidate will be a collaborative individual with a strong passion for media and advertising innovation, a customer-centric mindset, and a deep understanding of the importance of excellent user experiences.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Programmatic Sales Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Day-to-day management of the team, including the onboarding and professional development of direct reports.
- Clearly communicating technical concerns, particularly regarding deal escalations, in a manner comprehensible to non-technical stakeholders.
- Providing training in troubleshooting programmatic deal delivery issues, creative specifications, and nuances across ad servers, DSPs, and tag vendors to Sales and Sales Operations as required.
- Cultivating strategic relationships with our business partners and vendors.
- Overseeing the Indirect Demand Business and managing the Indirect Demand Campaign Manager.
- Establishing and refining workflows, processes, and goals to measure and enhance product output in terms of quality, conformity, scalability, and sustainability.
- Contributing to leadership meetings and strategic planning for the Sales Operations organization.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Digital Ad Operations.
- At least 1 year of experience in the Programmatic field with a solid understanding of the programmatic landscape.
- Familiar with the Indirect Demand ecosystem.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
- Proficient in work management and documentation tools, preferably Jira and Confluence.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate using technical language.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with FreeWheel and Magnite SSP.
- Prior experience working directly with DSP and/or SSP partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- A keen interest in documentation.
- Exceptional communication skills and an eye for detail.
- Experience in a large-scale media company, particularly within or supporting Advertising Sales.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
- A willingness to work in the entertainment media industry, which may require availability during weekends for live events.
- Must be 18 years or older.

Salary Range: $95,000 – $130,000 (bonus eligible)
