Hall’s Culligan in Wixom is seeking a Route Delivery Driver responsible for delivering 3- and 5-gallon bottled water and other Culligan products to a designated customer base within an assigned area. In this role, Route Drivers will cultivate strong relationships with bottled water customers through exceptional service, actively engaging with clients to retain and expand their route.

In your capacity as a Route Delivery Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of Culligan drinking water and related products along a predetermined route. Your responsibilities will include consulting with customers to determine their product needs and quantities. The ideal candidate will possess adept route planning skills, exceptional driving abilities, and a strong commitment to delivering outstanding Culligan service.

Key Responsibilities:

Route Planning and Execution:

• Prepare the delivery vehicle daily to ensure proper loading; familiarize yourself with route layout and customer requests to effectively complete the planned deliveries.
• Complete all deliveries on schedule.
• Optimize routes by anticipating challenges to ensure efficiency.

Customer Service:

• Engage with customers in a professional and courteous manner while representing the company.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns during deliveries.

Product Knowledge:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the products delivered and the proper handling procedures associated with bottled water, PE tanks, salt, and other applicable products.
• Provide product information to customers as needed.

Documentation:

• Accurately and legibly complete customer agreements and route sheets.
• Collect payments from customers; promptly submit payments and daily activity records to office staff at the end of each day.
• Utilize handheld devices correctly, ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to usage protocols.

Safety:

• Operate delivery vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Conduct Daily Vehicle Inspections (DVIRs) and report any concerns to management.

Work Environment:
As a Culligan Driver, you will spend significant time in the field, delivering to both commercial and residential customers. This role involves extensive driving and frequent entry and exit from the delivery truck. You will be required to operate in a variety of weather conditions and must be prepared for the physical demands of the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Ability to successfully pass a DOT Physical and Drug Screen.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check per company requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to meet driving record requirements to be insurable by the company for operating a company vehicle.
• Capacity to safely operate company vehicles weighing up to 26,001 lbs. for approximately 8-10 hours daily.
• Ability to lift up to 90 lbs. repeatedly.
• Must remain physically capable of performing the duties of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
