Job Title: Caregiver

Company: Home Instead Senior Care

Location: Roseville, OH

Pay: $14 – 17 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $14 to $17 for a caregiver position in Roseville, OH, is generally on the lower end of the spectrum compared to national averages. Typically, caregiver wages vary by location, experience, and the complexity of care provided, with many regions reporting rates between $15 to $20 or higher, especially for specialized care roles. In Ohio, the average caregiver wage hovers around $15, making this rate somewhat competitive but still dependent on relevant certifications, experience, and additional responsibilities. Overall, while this pay range may attract some applicants, it may struggle to retain skilled workers given the increasing demand for caregivers and rising living costs in many areas.

Job description:

Home Instead is the premier provider of home care in Hocking Valley, guided by our principle that "To us, it’s Personal." We prioritize the well-being of our clients, but we recognize that the true heart of our organization lies with our caregivers.

At Home Instead Lancaster, you will assume the role of a Care Professional (Care Pro), transcending the traditional caregiver designation. We celebrate and honor each Care Pro for their unique contributions. Our dedicated Care Pros deliver a range of non-medical services designed to help seniors maintain their independence in the comfort of their homes. These services enhance the quality of life for seniors and assist clients and their families in navigating the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care, and compassion.

Your shift will begin with travel to the residence of your assigned client. As client needs vary, we carefully match Care Professionals’ skills with the specific requirements of each client. Responsibilities may include light housekeeping, companionship, accompanying clients on outings, assisting with medical appointments, personal hygiene tasks, medication reminders, dressing, grooming, oral care, and providing support with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). Please note that skilled nursing tasks such as administering medications, injections, wound care, or therapy will not be part of your responsibilities.
