Job description:
As an Automotive Technician at Goodyear, you will play a pivotal role in our Auto Service centers by expertly inspecting, diagnosing, and performing automotive services while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. You will have the opportunity to engage in ongoing mentorship and education regarding the latest technological advancements in the dynamic automotive industry, all while thriving in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employ strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot automotive issues effectively.
- Inspect, repair, and diagnose various systems, including brakes, suspension, alignment, engine performance, air conditioning, and coolant systems.
- Participate in formal training sessions to stay updated on rapidly evolving automotive technologies, promoting teamwork to deliver timely and precise guest care.
- Uphold high standards of sales, service, safety, and cleanliness, utilizing protective equipment while operating machinery and tools.
- Perform a range of manual tasks that may involve prolonged periods of physical activity, including lifting, standing, bending, and squatting.
Basic Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.
- A minimum of three years of experience in automotive repair, encompassing diagnosis, problem-solving, and repairs.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) A4 Certification in Steering and Suspension and A5 Certification in Brakes, along with State inspection licenses and/or MAC certification.
Additional Considerations:
- Flexibility to work various shifts to meet operational needs, with availability on weekends and holidays as required.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology and various applications for accurate diagnostics.
- Ability to use tools, expertise, and product knowledge to make informed recommendations to guests based on manufacturer guidelines.
