Job description:

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is seeking motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team as Part-Time Retail Donation Attendants at our Midland store, located at 2030 N. Saginaw Street. This position offers a starting wage of $13.00 per hour, with the potential for monthly bonuses and a 20% discount on in-store purchases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to donors, assisting them with donations in a friendly, professional, and safe manner.
  • Address customer and donor concerns with professionalism and care.
  • Accurately record all donors and donations using the Donation Tracking form; document all gaylords/items on the Bill of Lading with precision.
  • Assist with janitorial duties to ensure cleanliness in both the backroom and sales floor.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient backroom layout.
  • Approach each day with a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Ability and willingness to work flexible shifts as assigned, including Sundays through Saturdays between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.; additional shifts may be required.
  • Must be able to travel to various locations as needed.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to reach, bend, and stoop as required by the position.
  • Capacity to stand for six to eight hours a day.
  • Reliable transportation to ensure punctuality.
  • Willingness to learn and apply safe lifting techniques.
  • Adaptability to work in varying temperatures based on weather and donation traffic.
