We are actively seeking both full-time and part-time Catering Attendants to join our team immediately.

The position is located at Andrews University, situated at 8700 West Campus Circle Drive, Berrien Springs, MI 49104. Please note that we only accept online applications.

Job Summary:
The Catering Attendant is responsible for delivering and serving food at scheduled events under the supervision of the catering captain. This role entails ensuring the seamless execution of all events during shifts, potentially driving a catering delivery truck. Responsibilities include setting up and serving at functions, maintaining cleanliness during and after events, and returning leftover food and equipment promptly to the catering facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and deliver all food and supplies for catered events to designated locations.
  • Log and monitor food temperatures.
  • Arrange tables and decorations in accordance with event specifications.
  • Set up buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items as per standards.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests.
  • Thoroughly clean the location once the event is concluded.
  • Return leftover food and beverage items, as well as serving equipment and utensils, to the catering facility.
  • Distribute and collect customer feedback forms for catered events.
  • Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and its equipment.
  • Provide guests with friendly and courteous service at all times.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the full menu and available products.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation policies and procedures consistently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A valid driver’s license may be required; candidates must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler’s permit and/or alcohol servers’ permit as mandated by state law.
