Job description:

Vista IT Group is seeking a seasoned Information Technology professional with 7-10+ years of experience to join our team as a Tier 3 Support Desk Engineer. The primary responsibilities of this role include addressing customer inquiries via calls and emails, as well as managing escalations from Tier 1 and Tier 2 support engineers. Additionally, the Support Desk Engineer will engage in project work, focusing on the configuration of server, storage, and networking systems for our clients.

Desired Expertise

The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in some or all of the following areas. Evaluation will consider the breadth and depth of expertise in these technologies:

  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNP, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Office 365, and virtualization technologies.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices, including VLAN configuration, routing, and both wired and wireless networking.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining VPNs for secure remote access.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and practices, including intrusion detection and prevention systems.
  • Expertise in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls, with experience in Fortinet, Cisco, and/or Palo Alto Networks considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with various security protocols and standards to ensure data protection and compliance.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), advanced networking, and security solutions.
  • Expertise in virtualization technologies and hypervisors, specifically VMware and Hyper-V.
