Pay: $16 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: As of 2023, the hourly rate of $16 for a Cook in Grand Rapids, MI, is generally considered below the competitive standard. According to various labor market analyses, the typical pay for cooks in the region usually ranges from $15 to $22 per hour, with higher rates for experienced workers or those in specialized roles. Given the rising cost of living and competition for labor in the food service industry, this rate may struggle to attract or retain talent unless supplemented by benefits or flexible schedules, making it important for employers to evaluate their compensation strategies against these market benchmarks.
