Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, quantity, and timeliness of meal production each day. This role entails preparing food in accordance with Parkhurst’s established recipes, standards, and procedures, all while adhering to strict sanitary guidelines.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare food according to Parkhurst recipes and enforce the “batch” cooking method.
  • Guarantee the consistent quality of food produced and maintain standards throughout the service period by utilizing production sheets.
  • Ensure proper line presentation by using appropriate pans, garnishing dishes correctly, employing proper utensils as specified in recipes, and maintaining food at prescribed serving temperatures.
  • Maintain effective communication with fellow associates, such as line servers, regarding daily food item specifics.
  • Complete daily production sheets accurately.
  • Ensure that all food items are stored properly and dated accordingly.
  • Adhere to all HACCP guidelines concerning the use of leftovers.
  • Follow the cleaning schedule provided by management and implement “clean as you go” techniques.
  • Keep management informed of product and supply needs through open communication.
  • Adhere to the uniform dress code and maintain high standards of personal hygiene.
  • Uphold all Parkhurst Gold Standards and foster a culture of hospitality through Smile Plus imperatives.
  • Support team members whenever possible.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.
