Job Title: House Band Coordinator

Company: Mel Trotter Ministries

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Pay: $41000 – 43500 per year

AI Pay Analysis: The annual salary range of $41,000 to $43,500 for a “House Band Coordinator” in Grand Rapids, MI, translates to an hourly rate of approximately $19.71 to $20.93, which appears to be on the lower end for similar roles in the music and event coordination fields. Industry standards for event coordination and music management positions, especially in urban areas, typically range higher, often starting around $45,000 to $50,000 annually depending on experience and responsibilities. Given the cost of living in Grand Rapids, this salary might not be fully competitive, particularly for candidates with relevant experience and skills. Overall, while the compensation may suffice for entry-level positions, it may fall short for more experienced coordinators.

Job description:

The House Band Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting the Ministry Department. This is a five-year, grant-funded position operating under the guidance of the Senior Director of Ministry & Church Engagement. The objective of the House Band initiative is to ensure that children are engaged as full participants in intergenerational worship, thereby enriching the worship experience for everyone involved. The initiative aims to cultivate essential components within the church worship culture, including church children, children residing in emergency shelters, local churches, and children’s ministry directors. This will be accomplished through three primary focuses: developing content tailored for kid-friendly worship, implementing structured programs, and bringing together children’s ministry workers and child representatives for an advisory council dedicated to encouragement, resource-sharing, and collective learning.

Please note that this job description is not intended to provide an exhaustive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities required for this position. Duties and responsibilities may evolve at any time, with or without prior notice.
