About the Position:

As an ambassador of our store, you will exemplify outstanding hospitality for both guests and team members. Collaborating with the Store Manager, you will enhance team engagement, optimize productivity, and contribute to achieving business objectives.

This position is located in West Chester at 7720 Voice of America Centre Drive, West Chester, Ohio 45069. The pay range for this role is $21.26 – $26.57 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a store ambassador, exemplifying exceptional hospitality, and educating team members and guests about our products and services to provide effective meal solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to create and manage team schedules, ensuring guest shopping hours align for an optimal shopping experience.
  • Assist in analyzing sales, P&L reports, and other key metrics to inform strategic business decisions and develop actionable plans for success.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager and Talent Acquisition to forecast and maintain a well-staffed store by sourcing, selecting, and hiring new team members.
  • Support the Store Manager and Guest Services Manager in delivering a welcoming orientation and onboarding experience for new team members.
  • Facilitate team training through The Fresh Market Academy and “on-the-job” training to ensure exemplary guest service in a safe environment.
  • Coach team members to enhance operations and support their professional development, aiming to increase retention.
  • Manage store inventory and team performance to minimize product loss effectively.
  • Ensure adherence to The Fresh Market standards and policies among team members.
  • Oversee the store’s social media presence while adhering to The Fresh Market’s guidelines.
  • Collaborate with store and department managers to foster teamwork and engagement.
  • Partner with the Store Manager to ensure departmental compliance with all safety requirements and regulations, including those pertaining to food safety.

Availability:
This role requires the flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 5-7 years of retail experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members, management, and guests.
  • Ability to read and interpret planograms, layouts, and schematics for merchandising purposes.
  • Understanding and adherence to policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Perishable, Hospitality, or Grocery Retail sectors.
  • Familiarity with Production Planning Software.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Software (iCIMS preferred).

Physical and Work Conditions:

  • Required repetitive hand/arm movements, grasping, bending, reaching, and the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50
