In this role, you will provide essential assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program, supporting their activities of daily living and enabling them to live a quality life while preserving their dignity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
- Assist, encourage, and implement restorative interventions for Memory Care residents to promote their independence in activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Participate in and lead both one-on-one and group activities.
- Serve residents during mealtime and assist with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping tasks within the memory care neighborhood.
- Ensure that resident, family, and employee concerns are addressed promptly, striving for a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor towards all residents, visitors, and co-workers.
Qualifications:
- Preferred experience working with seniors with dementia, including participation in activities.
- Acceptable proficiency in English to perform job duties, communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues, and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
- Depending on the state, a CNA or CHHA license may be required.
- Basic computer skills are necessary, with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word required.
- Demonstrated compassion, kindness, engagement, and a helpful nature.
- Ability to make independent decisions when warranted by circumstances.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of addressing variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor towards residents and co-workers.
