Job Description:
This position is primarily focused on facility maintenance and customer interaction. While prior experience in a similar role is preferred, it is not mandatory for all applicants. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Executing all maintenance and cleaning activities as outlined in checklists and directed by the Facility Manager or Supervisor, ensuring a tidy environment free from dirt, dust, litter, and debris using appropriate tools.
- Conducting daily inspections of the garage to identify and rectify maintenance issues.
- Sweeping and cleaning entrances, exits, stairwells, and various surfaces including rails, booths, offices, and restrooms.
- Emptying trash cans located throughout the garage, booth, and office.
- Painting designated areas of the facility as instructed by the Facility Manager or Supervisor to maintain a neat appearance of painted surfaces such as poles, signs, doors, and walls.
- Replacing burned-out light bulbs and applying oil absorbent to spills.
- Submitting requests for repairs or maintenance as needed.
- Ensuring safety items, such as gate arms, are in proper condition.
- Checking ticket spitters and gates on a daily basis for operational efficiency, ticket supply, clock accuracy, and general condition.
- Providing ticket and gate counter information to the Manager.
- Maintaining an inventory of janitorial supplies and managing a garage/lot sweep sheet.
- Operating various cleaning and maintenance equipment, including automatic sweepers and outdoor tools.
- Managing snow removal at entrances and exits using appropriate equipment.
- Reporting any observed or suspected policy violations, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager promptly.
- Adhering to the Three Keys to Customer Satisfaction and the Five Customer Service Behaviors to ensure effective customer interactions.
- Assisting customers within the facility as directed by the Facility Manager or Supervisor, including resolving customer complaints independently or with supervisory support.
- Familiarizing oneself with all operational aspects and covering additional duties such as cashier or attendant as needed.
- Upholding a professional appearance by consistently wearing the complete uniform during scheduled shifts.
- Performing other assigned duties as required.
