Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

As a Home Health Aide, your role is to alleviate challenges in your patients’ daily lives. You will visit their homes to monitor their well-being and provide basic care, including tasks such as meal planning and personal grooming. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Observing and monitoring patients’ physical and mental conditions, including their intake and exercise.
  • Performing housekeeping and laundry duties; shopping for groceries and household necessities; preparing and serving meals and snacks; and running errands.
  • Providing personal care, such as assisting with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Educating patients on self-care techniques, including the proper use of mobility aids and utensils.
  • Supporting family members in caregiving by demonstrating proper lifting, turning, and repositioning techniques, and offering guidance on nutrition and hygiene.
  • Documenting patient information in their journals and reporting any changes or unusual conditions to the nursing supervisor.
