This position is available for the 2nd shift (3 PM – 11 PM) and is part-time, requiring 3-4 nights of availability each week. Candidates must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
Hocking Hills Lodge and Conference Center features 81 newly built guest rooms, 40 cabins, a full-service restaurant, and banquet facilities capable of accommodating up to 200 guests. Responsibilities:
– Address general maintenance requests from guests, including issues with TVs, lighting, toilets, and thermostats.
– Perform maintenance tasks such as bulb replacements and other requests from housekeeping/front desk staff.
– Troubleshoot equipment and systems, specifically heating and cooling settings for the lodge.
– Ensure the functionality of safety systems, including fire alarms and extinguishers.
– Collaborate with colleagues and professionals during service calls.
– Test and maintain chemicals in pools and hot tubs.
– Assist with landscaping and trash collection as needed.
– Complete additional assignments as directed by the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
– Applicants must be at least 18 years old and possess customer service skills for effective guest interaction.
– A valid driver’s license is required.
– Availability to work on weekends and holidays is essential.
– Basic mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand and power tools are necessary.
Physical Requirements: This position is physically demanding, requiring stamina for prolonged standing and walking, as well as the ability to lift and carry items weighing between 20 and 60 pounds regularly. The role also involves repetitive physical activities such as bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
