Job description:
The QA Technician role encompasses two primary responsibilities: production auditing and receiving inspection. Production auditing involves the ongoing assessment of production processes to ensure product compliance, including first-off approvals. The receiving inspection technician is tasked with verifying the compliance of materials provided by external suppliers, managing the disposition of rejected materials, and executing necessary computer transactions for inventory purposes.
Responsibilities: (For All QA Technicians)
- Engage effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Meet established quality and quantity standards for assigned tasks, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to safety protocols.
- Prepare reports as needed and ensure the accuracy of all documentation.
- Monitor and uphold ISO/TS16949 and ISO 14000 policies and procedures.
- Assist in the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of the Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
Responsibilities: (For QA Technicians in Production Auditing)
- Conduct first-off inspections for setup approvals, material changes, color approvals, and die changes.
- Measure parts in accordance with inspection protocols.
- Document inspection results and determine material dispositions.
- Classify materials for appropriate disposition, such as OK to use, Hold, or Rejected.
- Audit adherence to policies and procedures to ensure consistent product quality.

- Execute inspections based on provided instructions for supplied materials.

- Sort and/or rework rejected parts as required.

Education:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience in the quality assurance field.

- Competent in computer usage.
- Demonstrated professionalism in a business environment.
- Ability to visually judge color and pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue test annually.
Training Specific to the Position:
- Proficient use of basic measurement devices such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to travel for extended periods with little prior notice.
- Flexibility to work any assigned shift.
