Job Overview
You will perform advanced HVAC work and supervise a team of skilled Air Quality technicians.
Essential Functions
- Execute pipefitting tasks and install, repair, adjust, or modify refrigeration, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems; replace or repair supporting structures including electrostatic filters, pneumatic and electric controls (including control calibration), utility meters, pumps, and fan motors. Manage steam line installations and repairs, including expansion joints, traps, regulators, bearings, and valves.
- Plan, implement, and execute preventive maintenance on HVAC systems. Inspect equipment to ensure proper component assembly and adherence to technical specifications, blueprints, and safety standards.
- Read and interpret sketches, blueprints, and layouts; estimate necessary materials and time; compile reports, requisitions, work orders, inventory lists, and project documentation.
- May serve as a lead worker, providing supervision, instruction, and training to semi-skilled and skilled Air Quality staff; assist supervisors in work allocation, performance evaluation, and coordination of inter-trade work efforts.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization standards as outlined by the department.

Required Education
Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or equivalent certification; two years of related work experience or specialized training may substitute for the education requirement.
