As a Kitchen Lead, you will serve as an ambassador for our mission to cultivate healthier communities by connecting people with real food. This role is pivotal to our restaurant’s hot food preparation, ensuring that every guest receives high-quality, properly cooked, and aesthetically pleasing meals. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional culinary skills, strong leadership capabilities, and an acute awareness of operational functions to effectively manage the full cycle of kitchen operations during varying service periods.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen throughout all service times.
- Cook and prepare hot food items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Uphold food safety protocols, including proper FIFO (First In, First Out) rotation.
- Conduct regular taste tests to ensure the quality of food.
- Manage oven capacity and maintenance to optimize food production.
- Collaborate with the Management on Duty (MOD), Cold Prep, and Service teams throughout shifts.
- Facilitate seamless transitions between AM and PM operations.
- Document waste related to quality or expiration issues and assist with hot food preparation during off-peak periods.
- Lead food tastings and midday quality assessments, and support training and implementation of new menu items.
- Process incoming orders and report any shortages or quality concerns.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended durations.
You must be capable of fulfilling all essential job duties satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
