Job description:
Pay: $28.50 per hour
At Great Wolf, the Aquatics Technician III is responsible for overseeing daily engineering operations within our upscale hotel environment in the absence of the Assistant Director. This role encompasses project management, general life safety protocols, supervision of engineering staff, scheduling, procurement, vendor relations, and serving as the primary engineering point of contact when required. Key responsibilities include executing preventative maintenance and repairs throughout hotel guestrooms, public spaces, equipment, buildings, and grounds. This position also includes functioning as the Duty Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct interviews, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; evaluate performance; reward and discipline staff; address complaints and resolve issues.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in a timely manner, adhering to established safety standards and effective equipment utilization.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of departmental safety procedures by attending safety training programs and in-service training as necessary for ongoing professional development.
- Keep accurate service records for mechanical and structural systems.
- Motivate and lead staff to achieve the organization’s goals.
- Manage maintenance and water treatment operations within the facility.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations, including OSHA and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Adhere to all standard operating procedures concerning park operations, employee relations, timekeeping, and safety, ensuring that daily, weekly, and monthly documentation is accurately completed.
- Assist with accident and incident investigations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering.
Requirements:
- Technical Degree
- Technical Training
- Trade-Related Certifications
- Relevant experience in hospitality, healthcare, or a related industry
- A minimum of 1 year of Engineering Supervisor experience in a full-service environment, preferably in a hotel or healthcare facility, or 3 years as an Engineer II demonstrating the ability to supervise
- Trade-related certifications in HVAC and/or Electrical preferred
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with database software, internet applications, order processing systems, and the Microsoft Office suite
- Valid Driver’s License
