Assistant Manager Core Responsibilities:
Accountability & Integrity:
- Demonstrate integrity consistently in actions and expectations.
- Guide team members and Shift Leaders in completing assigned duties while serving safe, quality food in a friendly manner.
- Schedule and deploy team members effectively while monitoring performance and holding them accountable to established standards.
- Ensure customers receive a quality experience through prompt and friendly service.
- Maintain the point-of-sale system by reporting issues and verifying updates.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Family & Teamwork:
- Foster team unity by building cross-functional relationships.
- Address team member inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Provide a safe working environment for team members and a welcoming experience for guests.

- Conduct new hire orientation and tailor training plans for each new employee.
- Minimize losses by adhering to cash handling procedures and training team members accordingly.
- Demonstrate effective labor, inventory, and waste management.
Empowerment:
- Enhance team capabilities through continuous learning and development opportunities.
- Offer guidance and regular coaching to team members.
- Utilize operational tools to bring others along in their development.
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in restaurant or retail management, or a combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with sales-building strategies, P&L statements, recruitment, and training processes.
- Proven success in hiring and retention.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays, as schedule demands may shift.
- ServeSafe Certification.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and moving intermittently during working hours. These tasks may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
