Job description:

The Porter position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of repairs by ensuring that customer vehicles are thoroughly cleaned prior to delivery. Additionally, this role is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of both the shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
  • Maintain daily housekeeping tasks within the office, including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting countertops and work areas.
  • Oversee daily cleanliness in the production area by managing waste disposal, sweeping floors, discarding unwanted vehicle parts, and properly organizing tools and equipment.
  • Ensure that parking lots and grounds are kept tidy and orderly, including shoveling sidewalks as necessary.
  • Pre-wash customer vehicles prior to the commencement of repairs.
  • Perform interior and exterior cleanup of customer vehicles upon completion of repairs.
  • Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for additional repairs.

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • High School diploma/GED preferred.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Previous automotive experience is advantageous.
  • Clear close vision required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pull, push, and carry objects.
  • Capacity to walk for 5+ hours, sit, and stand for 5+ hours.

  • Lift objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Withstand exposure to working near moving mechanical parts.
