SUMMARY
The Repair Technician is responsible for conducting inspections, diagnostic assessments, and mechanical services for automobiles and light trucks, while ensuring exceptional customer service and compliance with safety regulations. Additionally, this role includes inventory management, requisitioning stock, and assisting with facility maintenance.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operate tire balancing and mounting equipment, repair flats, perform tire rotations, and conduct diagnostic tests for tire wear and vibrations.
• Develop and maintain an understanding of tire lines to manage inventory, procedures, and shipping and receiving functions.
• Conduct routine oil changes and visual inspections, including checks under the hood, under the vehicle, and wheel-off inspections.
• Perform basic removal and replacement tasks, such as battery and filter installations, wiper blade changes, headlamp and small bulb replacements.
• Execute alignments and flush cooling, power steering, and transmission systems using the appropriate equipment.
• Carry out basic diagnostics by identifying noise or vibration issues post road tests.
• Assist in facility upkeep by adhering to proper opening and closing protocols, performing housekeeping, and completing general maintenance tasks.

EQUIPMENT/TOOLS
Safely operate necessary equipment, including tire machines, balancers, lubrication devices, flat repair tools, lifts, impact guns, torque wrenches, tread depth gauges, grinders/wire wheels, micrometers, and flush machines.
