As a Backhoe Operator with Rescue Rooter, you will play a crucial role in the efficient execution of sewer, water, and gas line repairs or installations. Located in Cleveland, OH, this full-time position offers a competitive pay range of $24-28 per hour, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:

  • Operate a backhoe or shovel to carry out sewer, water, and gas line repairs or new installations
  • Break concrete and prepare sites for excavation
  • Assist on-site technicians with repair tasks
  • Backfill serviced areas, conduct clean-up, seed, and restore job sites
  • Remove old sewer lines and ensure proper flow before job completion
  • Obtain customer approvals for all work performed
  • Maintain and fuel the service vehicle, ensuring proper stocking of tools
  • Transport materials and track tool usage
  • Complete necessary documentation on services rendered and manage customer payments as required

Qualifications:
To succeed in this position, you will need:

  • Experience as a heavy equipment operator or equivalent training
  • A valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to work safely and efficiently on job sites
