The opportunity
Delaware North Travel is seeking full-time Baristas to join our team at Detroit Airport in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will provide exceptional guest service by demonstrating a thorough knowledge of coffee and beverage recipes, educating both colleagues and customers, and crafting drinks that align with brand standards. What will you do?
– Engage guests by suggesting additional items and employing effective selling techniques.
– Serve food and beverages in correct proportions while adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
– Assist with the opening or closing of the location.
– Execute clean-up duties, including equipment cleaning.
– Accurately record all transactions via the point of sale system; maintain an accurate cash count and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
– Process payments for food and beverages, either in cash or via credit card, and provide correct change to guests.

Physical requirements
– Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
– Ability to remain stationary for the duration of the shift.
– Capability to lift stock weighing up to 50 pounds.
