Join our exceptional team at Westfield Insurance, where we are seeking a vibrant, dependable, and customer-oriented Barista for our Starbucks ‘We Proudly Serve’ coffee shop, part of our corporate dining program. This role offers a fantastic work/life balance in a corporate setting, with full-time hours from Monday to Thursday, and Fridays as needed, in a lively and fast-paced environment.

Metz Culinary Management is expanding, and we are looking for enthusiastic Baristas who are passionate about crafting both hot and cold coffee and tea beverages. Ideal candidates will be energetic team players with a winning attitude, dedicated to providing outstanding customer service to our guests.

Requirements:

  • Previous barista experience is required.
  • Proficient knowledge of brewing equipment operation.
  • SERV Safe Certification is necessary.
  • Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs consistently.
  • Strong reading, writing, oral communication, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, stock, and maintain your designated station throughout the day.
  • Greet guests and ascertain their coffee preferences and needs.
  • Educate guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu while addressing inquiries.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following established recipes, along with pastries, sandwiches, and other food items.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Operate the cash register with accuracy in cash handling and payment processing.
  • Collaborate with team members, mentor new hires, and cross-train in various departments.
  • Complete weekly inventory and curate order lists.
  • Maintain and clean all equipment on an ongoing basis.
  • Undertake any additional tasks as directed by the Operations Manager.
