As a bartender, you can expect to:
- Greet guests promptly and courteously, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
- Follow recipes and practice portion control to mix, garnish, and present beverages.
- Accurately input orders into the register at the point of sale and generate checks for each guest.
- Handle cash transactions, ensure accuracy in change making, validate charges, and record transactions appropriately.
- Maintain an orderly and well-stocked bar setup at all times.
- Manage the preparation and storage of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables daily to ensure top-quality products.
- Adhere to all applicable state, federal, and corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages, particularly to minors and intoxicated patrons.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks utilizing standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisory staff to maintain health standards.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as directed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of bartending experience, along with certification from a recognized state, federal, or local training program.
- Fundamental knowledge of food and beverage preparation as well as the servicing of alcoholic drinks.
- Proficiency in verbal and written English to effectively communicate with guests and accurately take orders.
- Basic mathematical skills essential for operating a cash register, processing transactions, and managing cash drops and financial totals.
- Valid food handlers and alcoholic beverage server permits as mandated by law.
- Brand certifications as required.
- Capability to memorize, articulate, and promote the diverse range of menu offerings.
