Responsibilities

Embark on a fulfilling career in humankindness by joining our dedicated Clinical Engineering team as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET). In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting patient care by ensuring the functionality and accuracy of essential medical equipment. Your expertise will empower healthcare teams to confidently utilize diagnostic equipment through a combination of preventative maintenance and equipment repairs.

• Conduct preventative maintenance, safety tests, and calibration of medical equipment.
• Provide repair services for equipment within your designated area.
• Effectively prioritize workload while working with minimal supervision.
• Maintain comprehensive records for work orders received and completed.
• Address organizational customer service issues and complaints independently.
• Assist in the procurement of parts and supplies necessary for equipment maintenance.
• Engage in cross-training with fellow technicians to share acquired skills.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with teammates and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent military education; graduation from a technical program; or equivalent training and experience validated through certifications.
• A minimum of two years of experience servicing technical equipment.
• A valid Driver’s License is required.
• Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) is preferred.
