Breakfast Attendant:

As a Breakfast Bar Attendant, you will be responsible for the preparation and service of our breakfast buffet, adhering to local health department guidelines, Suburban Inns standards, and our brand protocols. Essential Functions:

  • Greet all guests warmly and positively, fostering personal connections to make them feel welcome and valued.
  • Maintain an attractive, organized, and clean breakfast bar in compliance with brand standards and health regulations.
  • Prepare hot items following prescribed instructions and health department regulations.
  • Adhere to local health and safety laws, keeping necessary logs.
  • Ensure adequate quantities of food at the breakfast bar, employing the first-in, first-out method for restocking.
  • Remove food items from the breakfast bar within 30 minutes of closing.
  • Clear, clean, and sanitize tables and chairs as they become available.
  • Wash and sanitize serving equipment, returning it to storage at the end of breakfast.
  • Perform cleanliness tasks including trash removal, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping the breakfast area, cleaning restrooms, washing windows, and other duties as required.
  • Prepare food for the next day based on hotel occupancy.
  • Properly store deliveries upon arrival, ensuring all items are accounted for and labeled with dates.
  • Set up, service, and dismantle meeting rooms as business needs dictate.
  • Follow all Suburban Inns processes and exhibit regular attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Position Requirements:

  • Minimum Knowledge: Ability to interpret and extract information, perform basic arithmetic, and possess good communication skills.
  • Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: None required.
  • License, Training, and/or Certification Required: None required.
  • Work Schedule: Flexibility to work day, holiday, and weekend shifts as dictated by business demands.
  • Uniform and Appearance Guidelines:
    • Uniform and name tag provided; close-toed, non-slip shoes must be supplied by the team member.
    • Hair must be well-groomed. All facial piercings and tattoos not covered by the uniform must have management’s approval. Tattoos deemed offensive based on various sensitive characteristics must be covered at all times. This policy is enforced by the supervisor, ensuring compliance without regard to protected characteristics. The Vice President of Operations reserves the right to review decisions made by the supervisor.
