Basic Job Functions:

  • Maintain and manage the procedures and work instructions for the calibration system within the facility, ensuring all systems are properly set up and implemented.
  • Execute inspection procedures for incoming materials.

Education/Experience:

  • Two-year Electronic Technical Degree or a minimum of three years of equivalent experience in electronics and/or calibration departments.
  • A four-year B.S. degree is highly preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Three or more years of experience working with electronics.

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Fundamental understanding of electronic devices.
  • Familiarity with calibration system requirements.
  • Proficiency in using micrometers, gauge blocks, and microscopes.
  • Knowledge of basic inspection methods for production components.
  • Proven competence in computer applications, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and collaborative.
  • Commitment to safety and agile methodologies.
  • Innovative and results-oriented approach.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Complete assignments and projects as assigned, with minimal supervision.
  • Ensure all calibrations are completed promptly and documented accurately.
  • Maintain calibration procedures and records in accordance with company policy.
  • Identify and implement corrective actions for devices that are out of calibration.
  • Foster effective communication and team building across departments.
  • Collaborate with other departments and locations as needed.
  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials using the provided metrology tools.
  • Release materials in SAP upon completion of inspections.
  • Assist with module inspections when necessary.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and good housekeeping practices.

Reporting Relationships:

  • This position will report to the Quality Engineer III.

Travel:

  • No travel is required.

Estimated Hourly Range:

  • $18.89 – $26.44 per hour.

US Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing & Maintenance Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs.
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force infrequently; frequently lift, push, or pull up to 27 pounds; and lift up to 51 pounds on an occasional basis, as per work instructions.
  • Required to perform repetitive tasks involving grasping, lifting, handling, carrying, or feeling objects frequently.
  • 20/40 vision in both eyes, with or without correction, is necessary.
  • Compliance with all safety standards and procedures is essential.
  • Frequent reaching above shoulder height and below the waist, with occasional stooping, kneeling, or bending.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is mandatory (including but not limited to steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket, or apron).
  • All associates on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator when necessary, which includes conforming to facial hair regulations.
