We are seeking dedicated caregivers in the Ypsilanti Area Communities to provide personal and companion care, as well as daily living assistance to elderly individuals and those in need of recuperative or ongoing care.

Responsibilities (will vary by client):
– Personal Care (Activities of Daily Living – ADLs): Assisting clients with showering and monitoring to prevent falls
– Providing personal care and grooming assistance
– Monitoring client mobility
– Assisting with dressing and performing housekeeping duties
– Preparing nutritious meals and managing clean-up
– Adhering to the established plan of care
– Communicating professionally with clients’ families and your team
– Undertaking additional duties as assigned

Client Locations:
Ypsilanti / Ann Arbor. Preference will be given to caregivers residing close to clients.

Summary:
As a Caregiver for the Elderly, you will deliver compassionate and individualized care to seniors, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Reporting to the Care Manager, you will apply your expertise in long-term and personal care to assist residents with daily activities and maintain a safe living environment.

Qualifications:
– Demonstrated experience in long-term care and home & community-based care
– Strong personal care skills, particularly in assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
– Familiarity with first aid and emergency response protocols
– Experience in assisted living and memory care settings
– Knowledge of residents’ rights and vital signs monitoring
– Ability to work effectively with seniors, including those with developmental disabilities and Alzheimer’s disease
– Proficiency in meal preparation and maintaining a clean living environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week

Schedule:
– 4-hour shifts
– Day shift
– Monday to Friday
– Morning shift
– Weekends as needed
