Job description:

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to deliver exceptional care to our residents in Saginaw, MI. The Caregiver will play a vital role in assisting residents with activities of daily living while also providing companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for helping others, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with seniors.

(No licenses or certifications are required; we are willing to provide training and are hiring immediately!) Medication passing experience is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the environment, which may include light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
  • Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license or ID.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with punctuality for every shift.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position, with Caregivers scheduled for 8-hour shifts.

Pay:
