JCare manages a senior living facility in Oak Park, MI, and we are excited to announce a valuable opportunity to join our dedicated team at our Senior Living Facility. As a caregiver, you will have the unique opportunity to provide both physical and emotional support while forming meaningful connections with our residents. This is a part-time position, from 4 PM to 8 PM, with every other weekend required. Please note that we do not offer midnight shifts at this facility, and starting compensation for caregivers is $15 per hour.
Your key responsibilities will include:
– Assisting with daily care needs, including dressing, grooming, bathing, and toileting.
– Administering medications in accordance with physician orders.
– Performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
– Engaging with residents to encourage community involvement.
– Maintaining a clean and organized environment.
– Monitoring for changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicating any concerns to a supervisor.
– Completing all required documentation and charting accurately.
– Communicating professionally with families, support services, and coworkers.
– Assisting fellow team members with their responsibilities.
– Adhering to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
– Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
