Kingsley Senior Living Facility in Canton, MI, is actively seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Staff to join our team. As a member of the care staff and medication technician, your role will involve assisting residents with their daily care requirements while promoting their independence and safety. Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including but not limited to transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and ambulating.
- Administer medications and provide hands-on care to residents as a primary responsibility.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the living environment, including performing light housekeeping duties.
- Adhere to all safety and health standards, including the implementation of infection control procedures.
- Monitor and assess changes in residents’ conditions, communicating observations promptly to the supervisor.
- Administer medications and injections as per medical directives.
- Follow established schedules and assist residents with repositioning as needed.
- Ensure accurate documentation of medication administration.
- Employ sound judgment to ensure the safety and well-being of residents during care.
- Collaborate with team members by assisting them with their responsibilities.
- Complete all necessary documentation and charting in accordance with facility policies.
- Respond to call lights and assess residents’ needs effectively.
- Provide assistance with meals, including obtaining meal trays and helping with eating.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
- Availability to work every other weekend.
