Job description:

ComForCare Home Care is seeking experienced direct care professionals to provide services in the Fenton area for DAY and/or EVENING shifts. Candidates must be open to working a rotating weekend schedule. Opportunities are also available in Genesee and Lapeer Counties.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
  • Provide reminders for medication intake
  • Facilitate safe transfers and ambulation to prevent falls
  • Support mobility outside the home, including transportation to appointments and grocery shopping
  • Aid in meal planning, preparation, and feeding assistance
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean living environment
  • Respond effectively and responsibly in emergency situations
  • Support clients in all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
  • Offer companionship and encourage participation in hobbies and enrichment activities to enhance quality of life
  • Ensure safety for cognitively impaired individuals

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare or in-home care setting
  • Reliable transportation (a valid driver’s license is not required)
  • Enjoyment of working in a one-on-one client setting
  • Commitment to personal growth and the acquisition of new skills
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Compassionate and diligent individual who takes pride in their work
  • Willingness to uphold health and safety standards
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a caregiver, CNA, Home Health Aide, or completion of a CNA program (state certification not necessary) is preferred but not required
