Qualifications:

  • A genuine commitment to treating clients with kindness, dignity, and respect.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with the ability to interpret the provided Plan of Care Document.
  • Required to travel to and from client locations.
  • A valid US-issued driver’s license with current insurance.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers.
  • Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Must be accessible via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates, and any emergencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide caring companionship and engage in meaningful conversation.
  • Assist with transportation for errands and appointments.
  • Help with apparel selection, including laying out clothes.
  • Aid in meal planning and preparation.
  • Remind clients to take their medications.
  • Offer mobility support, including standby assistance, transfer, and use of Hoyer lift.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
  • Manage household chores, including laundry and changing linens.
  • Educate family members on safe care techniques.
  • Fulfill other care-related duties as required.
