We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Caregivers to join our team at our Senior Living Community in Allen Park, MI. The Caregiver will support residents in their daily activities while providing companionship and emotional support. Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, and accurately monitor and document residents’ medication intake.
  • Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment, which may include light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Provide regular updates on residents’ well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with elderly individuals is preferred.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is required.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Valid driver’s license or ID is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, while consistently arriving on time for shifts.
