We are currently in search of dedicated and empathetic Caregivers to join our team within our Senior Living Community in Allen Park, MI. The Caregiver will play a crucial role in supporting residents with activities of daily living while providing companionship and emotional support. Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Administer medications according to physicians’ orders and accurately monitor and document residents’ medication intake.
  • Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Provide regular updates on residents’ well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, with punctuality for every shift.
