We are looking for dedicated and empathetic Caregivers to join our team within the Senior Living Community in Allen Park, MI. The Caregiver will play a vital role in assisting residents with activities of daily living and providing essential companionship and emotional support. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and accurately monitor and document residents’ medication intake.
- Assist residents facing mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Provide regular updates on residents’ well-being and report any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
- Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
- Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Prior experience working with the elderly is preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Availability to work every other weekend is required.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Valid driver’s license or state ID.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team; punctuality is crucial for every shift.
