We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Caregivers to join our team in our Senior Living Community located in Allen Park, MI. In this role, you will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and accurately monitor and document residents’ medication intake.
- Assist residents with mobility challenges to ensure their safety and comfort.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including light housekeeping tasks as necessary.
- Provide regular updates on residents’ well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
- Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
- Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Availability to work every other weekend is mandatory.
- Reliable transportation is essential.
- Valid Driver’s license or state ID required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; punctuality for every shift is expected.
