The Chef de Cuisine is a pivotal leadership role within the culinary team at Spice Catering Co., responsible for managing daily back-of-house operations, overseeing culinary execution for off-site events, and driving innovation in menu development. Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Development
- Mentor, coach, and hold back-of-house team members accountable to Spice’s standards and core values.
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings and delegate responsibilities to ensure kitchen success.
- Support the hiring, onboarding, and training of kitchen staff.
- Supervise staff scheduling and performance management.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional kitchen culture.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, event execution, and sanitation.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Monitor food production for quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to streamline processes and standard operating procedures.
- Manage equipment maintenance and report any needs.
