Compensation will be commensurate with the applicant’s skills and experience and includes eligibility for team-based bonus opportunities. Note that temporary associates are ineligible for benefits but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Responsibilities
You will provide exceptional dementia care by delivering adapted Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), promoting meaningful engagement and communication with residents according to their personalized service plans. Respecting each resident’s dignity and independence is paramount, fostering a purposeful and engaging community culture.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting residents with care plans and daily activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and transferring.
- Actively engaging residents to encourage as much independence as possible.
- Participating in behavioral meetings and discussions with community leadership.
- Understanding residents’ life stories, preferences, and histories.
- Serving meals and assisting in meal preparation, encouraging proper nutrition and hydration while respecting residents’ choices.
- Initiating and leading at least one Daily Path engagement program, while promoting socialization among residents.
- Maintaining accurate daily records in compliance with company policies, documenting medication distribution, engagement interests, and any changes in residents’ conditions.
- Assisting with medication administration as allowed by state regulations, adhering to physician orders and medication policies.
- Ensuring a clean, safe, and orderly environment, performing general housekeeping duties.
- Responding promptly to resident requests for assistance and following emergency procedures as needed.
- Monitoring the whereabouts of residents and reporting any concerns to supervisors.
- Encouraging teamwork through collaborative interactions with colleagues.

Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, with three to six months of relevant experience preferred in direct service for older adults with dementia, or equivalent education and experience. Please refer to state regulations for requirements related to medication assistance and direct care duties. Knowledge of dementia, especially of the Alzheimer’s type, is essential.
Certifications, Licenses, and Special Requirements:
- Must possess current state certification in accordance with state law and maintain it.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach, climb, and balance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Interaction with co-workers, residents, or vendors is essential.
- Some weekend, evening, or night work may be required to ensure coverage.
- Possible exposure to communicable diseases, infections, and various hazards, necessitating caution and adherence to safety protocols.
Management and Decision Making
