Base pay will be determined by the applicant’s skills and experience, and the role is also eligible for team-based bonus opportunities. Although temporary associates are not eligible for benefits, they may participate in the company’s 401(k) program. Responsibilities:
You will provide essential dementia care, including adapted activities of daily living (ADLs), meaningful engagement, and communication to residents, adhering to individual service plans. You will treat residents with respect and dignity, recognizing their unique needs while promoting independence. Your role will involve creating a purposeful and engaging culture within the community. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents and contributing to care plans and daily activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and facilitating mobility to programs and meals.
  • Participating in team behavioral expression meetings with community leadership.
  • Familiarizing yourself with residents’ life stories, preferences, and historical routines.
  • Serving meals and potentially assisting with food preparation while encouraging healthy eating habits and respecting dietary choices.
  • Leading or initiating Daily Path engagement programs based on residents’ interests.
  • Maintaining daily records in compliance with company policy, including documentation on medication distribution, engagement interests, and any changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Assisting with medication management as permitted by state regulations, following physician orders and policies.
  • Ensuring a clean and safe environment through general housekeeping duties.
  • Responding promptly to emergency situations and resident requests for assistance.
  • Monitoring resident locations and notifying supervisors of any concerns.
  • Encouraging teamwork through collaborative interactions with colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred, along with three to six months of related experience or training in direct service with older adults living with dementia.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
