This position is integral to creating cleaner and healthier environments for our clients’ buildings and grounds. The following essential duties and responsibilities outline the expectations for this role:

Duties:

  • Execute all cleaning tasks for facilities utilizing ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
  • Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, polishing, removing trash, cleaning windows, and moving furniture and equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain the inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Open and secure facilities, activating and deactivating the security system as needed.
  • Prior custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience (1-2 years) is advantageous, though not mandatory.
  • On-the-job training will be provided for candidates demonstrating a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience working in a professional janitorial capacity within office complexes, hotels, hospitals, or schools is preferred.
  • The ability to adapt, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple tasks is essential.
  • Promote a positive work environment by maintaining a pleasant demeanor and contributing to team efforts while being punctual and adhering to uniform standards.
  • Exhibit respect and understanding towards co-workers and customers.
  • Work independently with a commitment to quality.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

  • Frequent (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching (both overhead and forward) is required. Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs is necessary.
  • Proficient reading skills for understanding cleaning instructions.
  • Ability to differentiate between various cleaning products and their uses.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 5 hours each evening, starting after 5 PM
  • Total of 25 hours per week
  • Weekly pay periods
