CNC Mill/Turn Machine Operator – Euclid, OH

As a CNC Mill/Turn Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and inspecting multiple conversational and CNC machining centers to perform various machining functions, including cutting, drilling, milling, tapping, reaming, boring, and deburring of alloy and non-alloy workpieces.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate multiple machines and machining centers
  • Read, interpret, and follow complex blueprints, operating sheets, and technical data to determine tooling requirements and machining methods
  • Mount, align, position, and secure tooling and workpieces on the machine
  • Input, retrieve, and manage preprogrammed instructions via database commands
  • Calculate, set, and operate machine controls to manage spindle positioning, cutting depth, speed, and coolant flow
  • Enter all SPC and measurement information to establish and maintain process controls
  • Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations
  • Adjust machine controls to correct machining errors or out-of-tolerance conditions
  • Perform non-automated functions manually when necessary
  • Utilize precision inspection equipment to verify features and compliance with specifications
  • Maintain accurate logs and communicate with supervisors and engineering staff to address issues
  • Execute daily machine maintenance and housekeeping duties
  • Operate pendant cranes and properly rig parts weighing between 5-1000 lbs.
  • Utilize motorized and manual pallet jacks and box dollies as needed
  • Assist in training other operators on proper procedures and operational tasks
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE
  • Collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in the setup and operation of CNC Mill/Turn Centers, or completion of an accredited training program
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Demonstrable proficiency in CNC controls, including editing speeds, feeds, and offsets
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, procedures, and instructions
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments, including dial bore gauges, snap gauges, and micrometers
  • Skills in maintaining accurate documentation
  • Ability to operate a pendant crane and pallet jacks
  • Capacity to properly rig parts weighing from 5 to 1000 lbs.
  • Possession of necessary personal tools
  • Flexibility to work any shift (2nd shift: 3 PM – 11 PM, 3rd shift: 11 PM – 7 AM)
